Gerty is a trained scent-discriminate bloodhound, sourced and trained through Scent Evidence K9. Bloodhounds are the gold standard in human scent detection, built to track a specific individual's scent over distance and time, not just alert on a general area. That precision is what makes her useful for both education and search work.

What She Does Today

Gerty travels with our team to schools, scout groups, churches, and civic events. She's a hands-on way to open the door to serious conversations about trafficking and personal safety, giving kids and parents something real and memorable instead of just a lecture.

Her Handler

Gerty works with her trained handler, Andrew Fivecoat. Together, they're equipped to deploy in support of missing persons searches, using Gerty's scent detection training to assist search efforts when called on.
